WAVP Building Campaign and Pledge Form

WAVP Rendering Conceptual Drawing

As of March 2012 we have received $905,663 in donations and pledges from 315 units.

Thanks to the leadership gift and generosity of the Vern Iserman family of Waverly, we launched the building fund campaign with a strong foundation.

Construction of the new Waverly Area Veterans Post depends entirely on our fund raising efforts. It will take a team effort of members of the American Legion Post 176, AMVETS Post 79, Marine Corps League Detachment 1241, VFW Post 2208, and Auxiliary and Sons members.

As we kick off WAVP fund raising, we have two strategies - "The Front Line" will be contributions by veterans and their families. The second stage will be "The Home Front", including the Waverly community and surrounding area. We also expect grant donations.

Send contributions to Waverly Area Veterans Post, PO Box 454, Waverly, IA 50677. Use this convenient Pledge Form

WAVP Building Will Feature

· Museum representing all four Posts                                  · Memory of Pride Wall

· Plaques recognizing contributions                                    · Banquet rooms

· Separate meeting rooms for each Post                             · Secured rooms for memorabilia

All gifts from the Front Line and Home Front fund raising campaign will be acknowledged on the Pride Walls inside the building.

As we leave a legacy of our years in service and stories shared with loved ones - leave your legacy of pride of service in your hometown for veterans of today and tomorrow and build the Waverly Area Veterans Post, Where Patriots Gather.

Non-Veterans Help Building Campaign

The Waverly Jaycees and the First National Bank of Waverly have shown their support for the project. Both organizations conducted local fund raising efforts and provided checks of $2,500 and $600 respectively to the Waverly Area Veterans Post project. The Waverly Area Veterans Post truly appreciates their efforts and generous support of Waverly area veterans.
